Allan Gardens 2005

Each July a small community fair takes place in Allan Gardens, near Brick Lane in East London. There are various attractions, including stalls selling all sorts of food and drink, a cafe, a poetry corner, dance workshops and of course the circus corner, which is organised and coordinated by Lila Lifely, along with help from Lorraine Moyneham.

In 2005 we once again performed at Allan Gardens. This was a completely different experience - it was very hot, very sunny, and by the end of the day we were very sticky! This time we were in the middle of the park, and our accompaniment was an olde-worlde organ player complete with shaggy curly-haired dog! AA Day 2005 had taken place just the day before so we again used the same routines

Allan Gardens 2004

In 2004 Lila asked us if we would like to perform and of course we jumped at the chance! For most of us this was our first "real" performance away from The Circus Space and so quite a leap into the unknown. We decided to use the same routines that we had prepared for AA Day 2004, which had taken place just a few weeks before. However, one small difference was that instead of performing to recorded music, we were accompanied by a live band. The day was quite a challenge, not least because it was slightly overcast, a bit windy and we were performing to a completely different audience, but still a hugely enjoyable experience.
